Flip graduated from KU Leuven University (1987) magna cum laude.

 

He also obtained the following degrees:

 

• a postgraduate in International Economic Law from Dubrovnik University (1988);

• a postgraduate in Telecommunications Law from KU Leuven University (1989); and 

• a postgraduate in Telecommunications, Strategy and Regulation from Ghent University (1999). 

 

Flip followed a program on negotiation and mediation lead by Professor Robert H. Mnookin of Harvard Law School (2008).

 

Flip is a native Dutch speaker and obtained the following language certificates : 

 

• “Business French”, Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris, 1987; and

• “English for Lawyers”, Cambridge Academy of English, 1997.
